I would recommend LPI Certification as one of non distribution related Linux certification. I learnt many new things despite I’ve been involved in Linux for over 10 years now and it is a great opportunity to challenge yours abilities.

I studied LPI as I wanted to further my knowledge in Linux. The OS, our company’s platform is ran on, is CentOS. I was to be technical support, but had very little Linux experience. I took the LPI course to further my skills and knowledge and ultimately give myself a better position in my work. The company I work for is Davra Networks. We are provide a platform that allows customers to define, build and bring IoT (Internet of Things) applications. The benefits of having the LPI certification h…

Linux Essentials is a great course for anyone wanting to brush up on their informal Linux knowledge or want to start learning Linux for the first time. Highly recommended.

Would I recommend LPI? Absolutely! Linux is now the by far the most ubiquitous operating system on the planet, from the international space station, the internet and on desktop computers, Linux is everywhere. Why would you NOT want to learn Linux. For me the LPI Linux Essentials exam was the perfect tool, it gave me a great point of focus, and booking the exam gave me a target to work towards, as well as the motivation to achieve a pass. The exam objectives took me on journey from understanding …

I did this course as a validation of my knowledge, as I work with Debian-based NAS products every day. I’ve learned a lot about the low level stuff and the why (which makes remembering it much easier for me). I can recommend this for anyone starting a career in Linux, as it introduces you and prepares you for different flavours of Linux very well.

This is the first Linux Certification I have completed. I found the time invested in this qualification is already paying itself off. The LPIC-1 study guide seems to be a good place to start for the beginner. By downloading a Linux Distribution and getting hands on practice is truly valuable. Reading the book is one thing following it through with a Linux build is another and then finally doing the exam and practising what you learned. I will continue to follow the LPIC path.

I have held the certification of LPIC 2 for a month now, Its a great cert to have and I can see a definite improvement in my skills from this time a year ago, LPI is defiantly the way to go I think as a sys admin, Any issues questions I can help with for other people studying for this exam don’t hesitate to contact me.

I can definitely recommend LPIC exam because it helped me re-iterate Linux basics and discover new commands and possibilities. Thanks to LPIC, I’m more effective at my work and I feel more confident working with command line. Now I consider taking LPIC-2 exam as well.

I would recommend the LPI certification, as I was looking for some Linux course to give me a good basis in Linux, LPI certification seem to fit well. I also used the certification as a goal to keep me motivated, so now when I meet others who have completed LPI, Certification, have an appreciation of their skills.
